Popular Front is organizing the Empower India Conference on Thursday 15 and Friday 16 of Feb 2007 at Shaheed Tippu Sulthan Nagar, Palace Ground, Bangalore to highlighting the basic objectives of the Federation.

Addressing newspersons on Saturday E M Abdurahman, General Convener, Empower India Conference said that Popular Front of India is a platform for people's movements working in Kerala, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu geared to find out alternative development models which are people friendly and aims at equitable distribution of the nation's resources. Popular Front of India will strive for freedom, security and justice for all the people of India irrespective of their caste, creed or religion, he added.

He also said that Popular Front of India is the movement for the realization of a society in which freedom, justice and security are equally enjoyed by all individuals and classes. It aims at the socio-economic, cultural and political empowerment of the deprived, the down trodden and the nation at large. It stands for a New Delhi of Equal Rights to all Indians.
Popular Front of India is at present a Federation of KFD, MNP and NDF which are People's Movements pioneering social change in South Indian States.

On 15 of February, four Dialogue Sessions will be held. In sessions human rights, media intervention, legal defense, reservation and on 16th national seminar on empowerment and development: Quest for Alternatives will discussed.

Thousands of activists and common people are expected to reach Bangalore on that day to join the march of history and to rally with people determined to take control of their future.

K M Shareef, State president, KFD and Yasir Hasan, State Secretary, KFD were present at the press meet.
