NDF Organizes Massive Rally Protesting Bush Visit Print E-mail

Thiruvanandapuram: Thousands of young cadres marched in the massive rally organized by National Development Front (NDF) protesting the visit of the US President George W Bush to the country. Marches were held in two major cities of Kerala; Thiruvanandapuram and Kozhikode

Protesters shouted against the inhuman cruelties of America and Israel, against the Indian Premier Manmohan Singh for allowing the ‘Killer Bush’ to enter the country and through slogans and placards protesters accused that by voting against Iran, Mr. Singh has put our foreign policy under mortgage. Angry young cadres shouted slogans asking Killer Bush to go-back, beware of prophet insulters, Bush awaits humiliating end etc were among the angry slogans.

The protesters were seen holding placards with anti-imperial slogans. Placards tabloes against Bush, Abughuriab tortures, Bush-Manmohan nexus, American invasion on world regions and placards favoring Intifada gave charm to the rally. There were also still images of Palestinian resistance movements.

In both the places, marches were followed by public meetings in which thousands of general public gathered to listen to the speakers.

The rally started at Thiruvanandapuram at sharp 5 p.m. from Museum Junction and passing through the city it ended at Attakkulangara by-pass road. NDF General Secretary Nasarudhin Elamaram, Vice Chiarman Mr. Abdurahiman Baqavi, Supreme Council members E M Abdurahiman and Abdul Majeed Faisy were among who lead the rally.

At Kozhikode the rally started at sharp 4.30 p.m. from Swapna Nagari Junction and passing through the heart of the city it ended at Muthalakkulam. Throughout the way, thousands of public gathered to watch the disciplined march of the cadres. Mr. E ABubacker, Ex-Chairman and Supreme Council member of NDF and Prof P Koya, Editor of Thejas daily were among the leaders who addressed the public meeting.
